Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just got my new Envy x360 laptop. Unfortunetly instead of enjoying it, I have just spent few hours trying to get build in SD card reader to work. I went through countless forum topics describing same issues. Seems to me that this problem is years old ant there still is no sollution.

- I did try to install new drivers for card reader from HP website (dedicated to my exact model)

- I did try tu uninstall all drivers under Universal Serial Bus controller and let the windows to instal them again.

- I did look in to BIOS, but there is no option there to unable/desable Card Reader

- SD card is working fine when plug in to usb port with external card reader.

It is absolutely frustrating to get brand new product from such a reputable brand just tu find out that it is not working correctly.

Hope someone here can help me out...

@Marcin26 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the SD card reader is not working.

Please try to update the BIOS  ( you have to enter the correct model number) and check for the issue.

If you are still having the same issue, you have to contact phone support.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
