My laptop has an SD slot. However I want to put a micro SD card in. Is this possible? If it is can I get a convertor to put the micro SD card into? Like you have in a phone.

Yes, you have to buy an adapter for this. The MicroSD card slides into the adapter and that slides into the SD slot.
The adapter looks like a full-size SD card -- but you usually can't buy them separate. When you buy a micro-SD card, the adapter usually comes with it -- so look around for the least expensive micro-SD card you can find that comes with the adapter card.
