If someone struggles with the low speed performance and/or high temperature with the built-in BC 501 SSD, like EpicFail2 did in this post here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/SK-Hynix-BC501-Firmware-Upgrad... , just take a look a the look to the firmware update section on the support page of the "HP Pavilion - 15-cs0059nr":
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-cs0000-laptop-pc/20284004/model/2232... .
There you'll find a "SK Hynix SSD Firmware Update" for the BC501 with firmware version "80003C00_2 Rev.A", which should solve your problems. Just connect your laptop to your power supply, backup your data, close any open applications, download and execute it, read the notes carefully and run the firmware update.
Unfortunately I can't reply to EpicFails2 original post mentioned/linked above, so I opened this thread. @Mods: Feel free to paste this post to the original one :).

If you include " @EpicFail2 " in a reply, that member should be notified by the forum unless he selected the do not notify option.
Even this mention should ping his email address, but the reality is that the thread is over two years old and he or she is likely to have resolved or moved beyond this already.
