hi,

 I got  the following message.

 

SMART Hard Disk Error

The SMART Hard Disk check has ditected an imminent failure. To ensure not data loss, please backup the content immediately and run the Hard Disk test in system diagnostics.

Hard Disk 1 ( 301)

 

 

after replace the hard drive and check the hard Disk test, got the following message:

 

Hard Drive SMART Check: Failed

 

Failure ID: 94L7N1-71P8JB-MFGJWK-609D03

PRODUCT id: E6B58EA#UUW

Greetings @Azad-Jamil,

 

Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are getting a Hard Drive SMART Check error on startup after replacing the HDD.

Don't worry, I will be glad to help. 

 

If you have installed OS on the HDD, run HP Support Assistant to make sure all the drivers are updated, especially BIOS and chipset. 

Once all the drivers are updated, please run an HDD test again. 

If the test fails, please contact HDD manufacturer for the service options of the HDD.

Also, refer HP PCs - Hard Disk Error Displays before the Computer Starts

Thanks for your valuable information. After follow your instruction.. and  when I installation the OP system, I got the following Message:

Thanks for the reply and providing the screenshot. As the screenshot suggests that there could be an issue with the HDD and as the HDD test has already failed. Recommend you to replace the HDD with a new one.
