Hi,

I installed a new hard drive on my laptop and every time I start it, throws a Smart Hard Disk error 301.  I press enter and then continue loading.

I checked on the Bios of my pc and couldn't find a way to turn off the smart feature.  How can I turn off the smart detect feature on my laptop?

Thanks for your answer.

Hi,

First of all, thank you for your answer and forgive me that I didn't answer before, but I just saw the email saying that you answered.

I had already seen the page that you sent me, but that doesn't help as my Laptop doesn't have that.  I got an HP Pavilion Notebook PC, 15-au020wm and the Bios Setup is this:

My BiosMy Bios

I can only select the blue text.  Everything else is just info.  There are no options here to set up the hard disk or the Smart Feature (not even where it says "System Configuration", I can send you photos of it if you want).

If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.  But please, don't send a link to your web page as I already checked everywhere there and couldn't find an answer.

Hope you can answer and help me.

Best regards,

Nelson
