There is usually a reason the BIOS cannot be updated.
Your 207P7AV is listed here
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/details/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000a/model/2100404775
When I click on "Software and Drivers" the product id changes 207P7AV to 339T3AA
that should not happen. When looking at the bios release history
only F11 and F12 show up. That indicates a huge problem since you have F.19 and want to get to F.31. Either the website is wrong (it can happen) or you are being shown the wrong bios upgrade.
What caused the problem in the first place?
Have you pass diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
Check your warranty and decided if you want to risk a BIOS upgrade like these unfortunate users did

Please provide the Product ID for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol.

I am not sure what you have tried.
Did you get the F.19 from here?
Did the ROM SSID shown in the BIOS information match the SSID 8876 in the above link?
Did you try installing the F.19 and it failed to install?
Where did the F.31 come from? Did it fail to install?
If the BIOS does not show the SSID then run MSINFO from the windows search bar and look for BaseBoard product

sorry the diagnostics you mentioned didn't work or exist. just brought me to the login screen.
The F19 came from ??? It's either auto-placed on my pc or it auto-updated, i never touched bios. I haven't used a forced bios upgrade
the f31 came from reading another post saying it was the most recent or something. I don't know how to update bios.
also, I put it in a 1% nutshell, my PC crashes whenever it feels like and I have been pulling at strings to fix it.
someone at Microsoft said it's either easy anti-cheat drivers or bios update.
no idea what caused the problem and it has been happening for years
OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx ---- 328P1AA#ABA The only difference is the RAM (it was shutting down before changing so I tried new better RAM sticks)
Sorry for the back and forth, we don't have the best hours to communicate
also HP PC hardware diagnostics windows decided to stop working after attempting to check the warranty, I have yet to restart but the image shows the pop-up on attempt to re-open it.

The latest HP PC diagnostics is version 2.6.0.0 and it can be downloaded here
You must be an administrator to run it. Do you know what test it failed at? Which of the test, if any, were running when the HP PC diag crashed? You might look in the Windows event logs, both system and applications for errors and explanations.
At the same web site that had the HP PC diagnostics there are UEFI diagnostics
HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically: version 10.5.1.0 can be downloaded from this link
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp153001-153500/sp153214.exe
There is a discussion of similar Omen problem here by our expert Paul, but the downloads links are to older versions of the diagnostics links I provided above. The UEFI app sp153214.exe should include the option to create a USB flash which takes the place of the 4-in-1 that Paul mentioned. Try updating the UEFI partition. This should give you the F2 diagnostics.
Question: Did you replace your boot drive with a larger one?
If you replaced it, and did not clone the old drive to the new one, then you will be missing the F2 diagnostics partition.
-------------
Some other thoughts.
I do not have the Omen gaming up so I do not know if it can show and control temperatures. Both your Ryzen and the RTX-3060 can quickly overheat. If you have the Ryzen master you could try underclocking the ram. The RTX board can be controlled by the MSI afterburner. You should be able to set fan speed or force the power to be only %80 instead of %100
It is always possibly that NVidia has newer gaming drivers for the RTX-3060 that have not been passed down to HP yet.
Here is a list of bios revisions for your 328P1AA system
I did not see f.19 bios but the HP support assistant gets access to newer bios than are on the web site so eventually the f.19 will show up
What bios version are you running? If you have f.13 then it has a fix for HP Basic diagnostics.
You should also make a restore point before updating any drivers

IMHO this is a game compatibility problem. All the diagnostics pass but the PC crashes when stressed.
Looking at the latest software releases
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000a/model/2100404775?sku=399T3AA
Most are 2021: the graphics driver and the BIOS are 2022. I assume you have F.19 and also that AMD graphics
I do see there is an update to the WD SSD and is dated 2024. Make sure you got that update if you have that WD device. There is also a Samsung drive firmware update that was released in 2022
you can verify drive type using WMIC or Powershell (if you have the latest version of powershell)
If your games are newer than 2021 then the graphics driver is probably out of date.
wmic diskdrive get model, size, mediaType, status |
for example
If you have powershell then run it from the administrators command prompt to get better information:
powershell Get-PhysicalDisk |
---------
I am guessing the problem is the games and updates. They are different now and the PC (the drivers) have not kept up with the games. The anticheat drivers can be a problem as mentioned by Micro$oft.. All you can do is to get on discord or reddit and see what the latest game patches are. One of my kids ran a game server in his room and had no latency. The players logging into his server had no idea the server was in his room.
You can try lowering the maximum speed of the PC, use Ryzon Master to make the ram run slower, and set the resolution, color depth and refresh to a lower value and see if that helps.
-----
what so you mean by SMBIOSBIOS
if you did not get the f.19 you can try from here
It is always dangerous to upgrade bios. Unless there is a real need and the HP support assistant requests the upgrade, I would not do it. Updates that improve security are needed in a corporate environment but for gaming system they will likely slow down your system. I personally would not upgrade any gaming BIOS that was only security related unless the PC was used in a corporate, industrial or military organization.
Check your warranty and decided if you want to risk a BIOS upgrade like these unfortunate users did

the pc crashes whenever it wants to. it can crash on the desktop with nothing open. its only ONLY more frequent during games or when a browser and a game is open.
i had cmd do a bios check and i just posted the full line it gave "SMBIOSBIOS F.19"
