HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f1000 IDS Base Model

UPDATE:  For anyone else reading this, I managed to solve the problem by shutting down the laptop, then holding down the power button for 5+ seconds which apparently resets the embedded controller.  Started it up and both ports are now working as expected.

Hi,

I have an HP Spectre x360 16 with two thunderbolt ports, one on the back-right corner and one on the right side.  For months, I used the corner port to connect a TB dock w/ an HDMI monitor, multiple USB devices, and a power supply.  Now, all of a sudden, the corner port no longer recognizes my TB dock.  If I plug the dock into the right-side TB port, everything works normally.  Strangely, the corner port still works fine for charging.  I've also tested several USB-C thumbdrives and devices individually on the corner port...all working normally (data and power).  It's just the TB dock that's no longer working on the corner port.  I've tried countless combinations of rebooting, resetting the dock, unplugging the connected devices, etc. Nothing has worked.  It's like the TB functionality randomly disappeared from the corner port.  Any suggestions?

Thanks...Mike
