@Pratames, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with some keys not working on your HP Laptop PC 15s-fr2000. Let's go through a few steps to help resolve this:

Perform a Hard Reset

Sometimes, a simple reset can fix unresponsive keys.

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power and turn the laptop back on.

Use HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP provides a built-in tool to test your keyboard hardware.

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  3. Select Component Tests > Keyboard Test.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to test each key.

  • If any key fails the test, it may indicate a hardware issue.

Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Keyboards.
  3. Right-click on the keyboard device and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your laptop – Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Check for Physical Obstruction or Damage

  • Gently clean around the affected keys using compressed air.

BIOS Update (Optional but Recommended)

Outdated BIOS can sometimes cause keyboard issues.
