I recently ran the BIOS Diagnostics on my HP Pavilion 16, which I purchased and have been using frequently since 2021. Since then, I've updated the OS to Windows 11, installed a SATA 1TB HDD, upgraded to a 1TB SSD, then to a 2TB SSD, upgraded to 32 GB RAM, and more recently replaced the M.2 SSD with a 1TB replacement. I haven't had any major problems until recently when I noticed odd behavior in Google Chrome (General unresponsiveness). I ran some antivirus scans, and when those came up with nothing, I ran the BIOS hardware diagnostic tool. Every check passed except for "SSD Wear Check," which reported that my 2TB SATA SSD has a wear level of a whopping 156% after just a year of general use. I immediately backed up all my important files as the test recommended, but the following is what confused me the most: I used programs such as CrystalDiskInfo and SSD-Z to check my SSD, and both reported the health was good (98%) with 17.109 TB Total Writes, where the rating for my SSD is 1024 TBW. I ran chkdsk on the D drive (The SSD in question), which didn't seem to report any problems. I've scraped the internet for anything related, but only came up with questions related to SSD Health and very low wear percentages. I'd appreciate any help or insight on this.

@CR721, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
BIOS SSD Wear Warning:
The BIOS SSD Wear Check is a built-in diagnostic tool that is intended to give you an early warning if there are potential issues with your SSD.
Your SSD Health:
Your SSD health is still good (98%) and you've only written 17.1 TB out of the 1024 TB limit. This is well within safe limits, so the BIOS warning likely isn’t a concern.
Next Steps:
I recommend ignoring the BIOS warning for now. Keep an eye on your SSD with HP Support Assistant and run a diagnostic if you're worried. It should be fine.
Google Chrome Issue:
For Chrome slowness:
Make sure Chrome is updated.
Disable extensions.
Clear your cache.
System Check:
Use HP Support Assistant to keep your drivers and system updated for the best performance.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
