I want to install SSD drive in my laptop. I want to know which SSD is compatible for my HP 14 q-cs0009tu . SSD SATA or SSD PCIe NVME. I need to know whether Pcie nvme can boot from it?

Hi:
Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your notebook.
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-14q-cs0009tu
According to the report the M.2 slot takes SATA SSDs only.
You probably can boot from the M.2 drive but it would be best if you temporarily disconnect the 2.5" SATA drive, get W10 installed on the M.2 drive and then you can reconnect the 2.5" drive.
The notebook is always going to try and boot from the 2.5" drive, so you will probably have to format the drive to remove Windows from it.
