hp 14cm0011tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, need some help in choosing SSD for my notebook.

I recently got it back from repair and they've replaced the board. The model was 14cm0011ax but now its showing 14cm0011tx after the replacement. I cant find  the service manual for 14cm0011tx model so I'm not sure if this is the same as 14cm0011ax.

According to the service manual, it supports NVME 256gb but when I check Crucial Compatibility Site - it only supports SATA/M.2 but not NVME.

Can anyone confirm if my notebook really supports NVME 256gb or higher before I buy?

When the system board was replaced, someone may have inadvertently entered a t instead of an a.  There is no 14-cm0014tx that I can find in HP's product content browser. When the system board was replaced and it was time for it to be tattooed with the product information, the service engineer appears to have made the error of putting an a in place of the a.

What is the product number shown in the HP Support Assistant?

The  Maintenence and Service guide shows compatibility of  the HP 14-cm0xxx series model, which yours is, with M.2, SATA-3 and  PCIe, NVMe M.2 SSD products.  PCIe, NVMe M.2 SSD products are infinitely preferable to the M.2, SATA-3 SSD products.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure first before buying because the seller might not agree to a refund if it's not compatible with my notebook. Can I get 512gb instead of 256gb NVME? The service manual states that max is 256gb NVME.

Yes. You could even install a 1 or 2TB   PCIE NVMe SSD  since it  has the required M.2 specs.

The manual only shows what HP is offering as options when configured by the customer during an HP online store purchase.

Hi Erico.

I need to know if my HP notebook model 14-CM0065ST is also compatible with Nvme SSD M2, since I just found only info about their compatibility with SSD M2 SATA...

Thank you very much !
