I have HP-15bs180tx model notebook in which I have a M.2 slot and I want to add a SSD in it. After researching I got a manual where the configurations are written (attached below) but I have some doubts.
Initial Configuration: Intel Core i5 8th gen with 2TB HDD (primary) + 500GB HDD (in place of cd-drive)
Can I install 512gb M.2 SSD with the above configuration ?

I understand.
No one will be able to confirm with 100% certainty that anything larger than a 256 GB SATA SSD will work because that is what is listed in the manual.
What I'm writing as that the drive capacities listed in the manual are normally just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum capacity supported.
There is no obvious reason why a larger capacity SATA M.2 SSD wouldn't work.
Even a 1 TB or 2 TB SATA M.2 SSD should work.
