ADATA XPG sx8100 SSD NVME 1TB is not recognised at the bios level.

The same SSD works fine on my DELL laptop.

Although this Manual only appears to cover the 14-dq0000 series models with up to 8th gen CPU (yours is 10th gen) it is the one HP has posted on your support page so we can assume nothing has changed.

 

Service Manual 

 

See p. 2. The topic says it only supports SATA but PCIe M.2 SSDs are listed. 

 

Assuming PCIe/NVME is supported there is no logical reason this Adata SSD will not work but we occasionally see reports of random incompatibility. Official answer from HP will always be "we only guarantee that the parts listed in the Manual will work."

 

This is the part number of one of the 512 GB PCIe M.2 SSDs listed in the Manual:

 

L72365-001

 

Its a Samsung PM981. The capacity is not the issue; in other words an Adata 512 gig also likely will not work. A 1 TB should be fine.
