HP Victus 16

When I start my PC, I encounter an error message with the code QFX859-B5LCAA-MFPX0J-60E903. The message indicates that the SSD has failed a SMART check.

I would like assistance in understanding what this error means and whether I need to replace my SSD. Are there any troubleshooting steps I can try before considering hardware replacement?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Enter the required information at the link below and it should provide a report of the problem and the most likely way to fix it.

You will probably be informed that the drive needs to be replaced.

Thank you for your help. I have another question. When I start my PC it says that a SMART check has failed, but on the HP Support Assistant it says that the SMART status of the same disk is ok and that the status of the SSD is normal. Why is it like that?

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know why that would be.

If the drive is working, I would make a backup of any files you don't want to lose, and you can continue to use the PC until if and when the disk fails or replace it at your earliest convenience.
