I was using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool, and I was doing a Hard Drive/SSD Test, the 1st Pass. The result was: 1st Pass detected a know firmware issue with firmware HPS3NHAV, and needs to download firmware HPS4 to solve the issue. They suggested that I go on: https://ftp.hp.com/softpaq/sp149501-150000/sp149650.exe to fix the issue, but when I tried, it said "Not Found." Is there another way I can fix this issue?

I finally got it.  I found the Samsung SSD Firmware Update with File Name sp149650.exe on the HP Support website.  I saved the file to the Downloads folder.  i right-clicked it, selected Run as Administrator, clicked Install to install the firmware and let the update run.  I restarted my laptop, opened the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool, and discovered that the update from HPS3 to HPS4 was successful.  My real trouble was finding the file (sp149650.exe) on the HP Support Website.  Once I found it, the rest went pretty smoothly.  Thank you so much for your help.  I really appreciate it.

@Moni16, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It looks like you're encountering a firmware issue with your SSD. Based on your description, it seems like your HP laptop may be using a Samsung SSD. If that's the case, you can download the latest firmware directly from here: sp149650.exe

Also, you can visit HP's official support page and search for your laptop's model (HP 15-d5000) to download the latest drivers and firmware updates for your system

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello.  Thank you for your prompt response.  I tried to download the firmware with the information you provided (sp149650.exe), and it didn't work, so I went to the HP website to download the firmware/drivers from there.  When I was asked to Select The OS Version, it gave me 5 options:  1) Windows 11, 2) Windows 11 Version 21H2, 64-bit, 3) Windows 11 Version 22H2, 64-bit, 4) Windows 11 Version 23H2, 64-bit, 5) Windows 11 Version 24H2, 64-bit.  I didn't choose any of them, because my Version is Windows 11 Version 25H2.  There was a link for people that don't have their version listed.  I watched the video and I went into the Device Manager to see if the firmware had a driver update, but it didn't.  I tried Windows Update, and there were none.  The video said that I might have to visit a manufacturer's webpage to get the latest drivers for hardware.  They suggested:  AMD, Intel, or Nvidia.  I've never done this before.  Do you recommend that I try one of these webpages?  Thank you.

Hi @Moni16,

Thank you for your response

Thanks for the detailed update! Just to clarify, what exactly happened when you tried to download and run the sp149650.exe file I shared—did it give an error, fail to install, or something else?

Also, yes—you can definitely visit the official driver pages for AMD, Intel, or Nvidia to get the latest drivers for your hardware. Make sure to select your exact processor or graphics model to avoid installing the wrong driver.

I hope this helps.
