Hello guys, I have a HP Pavilion dv2580 et from 2007. I lost the orginal hard drive. And I want a upgrade this notebbok with SSD. Can I use "Wd 480GB Green S480G3G0A 545-465 3D Nand 2.5" Sata SSD". (Western Digital Green 480gb 2.5 Sata SSD.

Hi:
I can't confirm that a SATA SSD will work.
I don't think anyone can.
However, since your notebook has a Mobile Intel processor and chipset with a SATA II AHCI controller, most SATA III SSD's are backward compatible to SATA II.
If the drive is going to work at all, either drive capacity should be fine.
This is the only discussion I could find regarding a similar model notebook and the user indicates the PC could not find the drive and the person never answered the follow-up questions.
So, that is not a good sign.
