Good afternoon!
I bought my wife a HP Envy 15-as091ms not too long ago. It is a great machine, however she has begun playing around with videos and photo editing.
I am looking to add more SSD/HDD space to the machine. I know it has an M.2 slot that is currently occupied by a 256GB module. Without tearing into it yet, does anyone know if there is room for a SSD/HDD in the machine as well as the M.2 drive? Or, do I need to spring for a bigger M.2...
I have looked online for photos but all I am finding are older models and the tech specs just mention the M.2 drive and nothing about anything available.
Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Good moring,
Yes, it does have room for a normal HDD but just a slot. You need to buy kits for it to be able to connect. The hard drive rubber bracket is available using spare part number 857797-001. The hard drive cable is available using spare part number 857806-001.
Regards.

So why are these prices so high now? On earlier models you could buy both the cable and caddy for $20, now they are about $70!
I have been greatly pleased with my new machine and with hp store where I bought it, but I had no idea it would cost another $75 for me to install my own hard drive, not including the cost of the hard drive?
Can I send my machine in and have a 1TB drive added any cheaper??
Signed,
Previously happy camper.
