Which SSD drive is compatible for my HP Spectre x360 15 convertible?
My hard drive failed after the battery went bad and expanded.
The current hard drive is 512 GB Intel PCle NVMe M.2 SSD. I am also looking to Increase storage size to 1TB or 2TB.
Thanks for any help in advance!

You're very welcome.
Yes, that is a nice PC based on the specs and I wouldn't get a new one if the one you have is in good shape and just needs a new drive.
The PCIe slot in notebooks with Intel 10th gen core processors is 3.0.
Given that info, I'd go with the Crucial P3.
Reinstalling Windows on the new SSD:
Your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which will factory reset the drive to its 'out of the box' condition.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support
You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.
HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
Since you have to use the software on another PC as yours is not working, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.
Your PC's product number is 7UT64UA#ABA
Make the recovery media as soon as possible because HP will be removing support for the cloud recovery tool since your notebook is over 5 years old.
It still shows it a supported.

If you want to replace the existing 512 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity that will be fine.
Check your notebook's BIOS for a setting to enable/disable Intel Optane.
If your notebook has such a setting, you will need to disable it in order to use a standard NVMe SSD.
The maintenance and service guide on your specific model series HP Spectre x360 15 notebook's support page will have the SSD removal and replacement procedure.

Any suggestions for a replacement SSD drive? I'll stick to the 512GB.
The current drive is the 512 GB Intel PCle NVMe M.2 SSD for my my HP Spectre x360 15 convertible.
Are any of these doable? I found them on Amazon.
- Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen3x4 2280 SSD (SP512GBP34A60M28)
- Crucial P3 500GB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s - CT500P3SSD8
- Crucial P310 500GB 2280 PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD – Up to 6,600MB/s – Shift up to Gen4, with Acronis Offer, Internal Solid State Drive (PC) – CT500P310SSD801
Thanks!

You're very welcome.
What is the product number of your PC?
Any of the drives should work but the Gen 4.0 drive may not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds if your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.0 and if your PC's NVMe slot is PCIe Gen 4.0, you would want to install a Gen 4 drive for maximum performance.

The Product number is 7UT64UA.
HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1033dx, Purchased in 2019.
I really don't need to upgrade. Just as close to original as possible is fine.
I'm fighting getting a new PC. lol
Thanks Paul!
