Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.

 

Your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

 

The drive storage capacities are just what HP offered in the model series, not the max.

 

So, if you wanted to install a SSD>512 GB you can install up to a 2 TB SSD.

 

You can see the supported capacities offered from the Crucial SSD report below for your model notebook.
