Hi all, I'd like to expand an HP Notebook - 15-bw067ax
and I'm looking at Gigabyte SSD M.2 PCIe SSD 256GB

On page 3 of its manual which only says it has M.2 SATA 3 (not NVMe) options and Crucial also confirmed that

Therefore Gigabyte SSD M.2 PCIe SSD NVMe won't work.

Well yes if you have those parts you can install an M.2 SATA SSD in the place of the hard drive but that is an added, unnecessary expense because a SATA M.2 working through an adapter is no faster than a 2.5 inch SATA SSD. So you would spend extra money beyond the cost of the SSD for no reason. Just get a SATA 2.5 inch SSD and replace the hard drive with that.
