Hi, I've bugged you guys a gazillion times about my HP Envy... and that has its own issues. Although, I am helping my friend with their laptop. I just upgraded the RAM from 8 GB to 16 GB, it was a piece of cake. However, I forgot to look if there's an M.2 SSD slot. Where can I find the EXACT manual for the HP 17-by0062st model. Even then, would the model even indicate if it accepts an M.2 SSD?
Some guy on youtube makes it seem like there is...

Apparently, according to his title, it is the same model, but who knows? I was stupid and forgot to look around when I opened it and I don't want to open it up again just to see if it's there or not since it was kind of annoying to do.
Thanks!
Judy

My 17-by0062st has an m.2 slot, as I tried to add optane memory (which failed due to bios issues)

No, you won't get manual(s) for your machine but for the whole HP 17-by0xxx series
https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/hp-17-by0000-laptop-pc/20395856/manuals
And the manual you need to look at is The Maintenance And Service Guide (page 2)
Regards.

Hi Colburnbri,
That's cool that it does have an m.2 slot, so I'll have to find one for this laptop. I've heard of optane memory, but I don't know anything about that, is it related to m.2, so when you say it failed due to bios issues, does that mean that installing the m.2 ssd is going to be a waste of time or is a completely different matter?
BTW, this computer is SUPER slow. Is yours super slow? This is why I am looking at upgrading to an SSD. I added another memory card, so now it's 16 GB of Ram rather than half. That hasn't helped. I'm really hoping the SSD helps.
