I bought a M.2 - 2280 - 240GB SSD - PCIe NVMe - and installed it in my notebook, as shown below. The notebook does not recognize the SSD, it does not appear in either the BIOS or the "Device Manager". How to solve?

There are 3 types of SATA M.2 SSD:
1-SSD M.2 SATA SLC
2- SSD M.2 SATA MLC
3- SSD M.2 SATA TLC

This HP notebook only supports the worst of them, the TLC. **bleep**! And I bought the SLC, the best of them.

Sorry but it will not work.

I think there is some mistake, because in the manual it says that the notebook supports NGFF (Next Generation Form Factor), acronym of M.2 (official name). NGFF was the name given when the technology was in development, but the official name became M.2. That is, the notebook supports SSD M.2. Support M.2 SSDSupport M.2 SSD

Maybe you mean it support SSD M.2 SATA-3 and does not suppport SSD M2 PCIe. OK, now I know the problem and how to solve, thanks!

Hi, did you ever get this to work properly?  Also, can you send any more pictures of your motherboard so I can compare it to mine?  I am curious to know what is beneath the DDR memory sticks.  I can't find a good picture anywhere.

Thanks.
