Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade the current SSD that came with my laptop. It is a:
LITEON L8H-256V2G-HP: 239GB (MLC?)
I want to upgrade to a 2 TB SSD (SLC):
Amazon: https://a.co/d/g9pYQtj
However, I noticed a difference in the amperage. My current SSD is 0.95A, while the one I am considering is 1.5A. Will this affect my PC? Can I proceed with the upgrade?

You service manual (page 1) indicates your model supports only M.2 SATA SSD not M.2 NVMe. Your current Lite-On drive is an M.2 SATA SSD. So unfortunately, a Teamgroup M.2 NVMe doesn't work. You should be able to use a Teamgroup 2 TB M.2 SATA3 SSD even though it draws a little higher amperage.

You are concerned about the amperage difference. See this document below regarding M.2 SATA SSDs power consumption.
SSD Power Consumption: What to Expect | SuperSSD
- M.2 SATA SSDs: These SSDs consume between 0.30-2 watts in idle mode, 2-6 watts when reading, and 3-9 watts when writing data.
A 2 TB Teamgroup M.2 SATA SSD's label indicates 3 V/1.5 A. Power consumption would be 3 x 1.5 =4.5 Watt. It's well in the ranges in read/write modes.
So, you should be able to use the 2 TB Teamgroup M.2 SATA SSD.
