Hi,

Product number: X7P41AV

I am planning to upgrade my laptop to an SSD + HDD hybrid, was wondering what SSD I should get and if it has an M.2 slot. I don't really wanna open it unless I'm sure it has a slot and I can't find relevant information elsewhere.

@Ankur0403

Its service manual says it supports dual storage options with M.2 SATA SSD + 2.5" HDD therefore you should be able to add up to 2TB of M.2 SATA SSD to your machine and use it as boot drive. There are many drives around such as

Crucial says its M.2 NVMe SSD's are also compatible :

Thank you so much for your response!

Sorry for my limited knowledge. So, I can use the existing HDD and I can also add SSD ( there is an available slot inside the laptop). If this is true,  I can use the SSD for BOOT UP the machine and HDD can be utilized for regular storage purpose.

By any chance can I add the SSD , is it straight forward exercise or technical skill is needed?

Thanks Again.
