Currently your service manual is not available online but see this thread below which indicates your model supports only M.2 SATA SSDs.

15-bs014ne does it hv M.2 slot - HP Support Community - 7011470

 

SATA M.2 SSD is slower than M.2 NVMe but faster than your current 2.5" hard drive. It'll provide a noticeable performance increase (you'll notice faster startup and shutdown).
