HP Pavilion Power 15 (15-cb079nr)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to swap out the supplied 128GB SSD that comes with my new and unused Pavilion Power 15" Laptop (15-cb079nr) with the 256 GB SSD drive from HP part 847109-020  (GNRC SSD256GB 2280M2PCIe3x4SS NVMeTLC ST) .

This is the replacement SSD that I have.  https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=33528D7CEE284D86BD6B2F22EB5E4B2E&SearchIn=P...

According to the Maintenance Manual this is the compatible drive.

The physical process to swap the drives seemes straight forward enough.  What is the best way to sort out the software/OS transfer and set-up?

First thing since it will be a fresh system just create your Recovery Media. "Only 1 time"

Install the new SSD and install the OS from the Media you created.

Is there a particular SSD/HDD 1TB drive that is recomended as compatible or will any 2.5" internal ATA drive work?
