I want to know if my laptop supports SSD and if supports what kind of SSD I can purchase.  Below are the details of my Laptop.

 

Model: HP Pavilion Laptop 15-ck069TX

OS: Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit Version: 17763.529

Yes it supports an SSD. Your laptop came fitted with a 2 TB 5400 rpm standard mechanical hard drive and then there is a slot for adding a new style "gumstick" 2280 form factor M.2 SSD either SATA or PCIe/NVME. You want an NVME as it is 5 times or so faster than a SATA.

 

Service Manual

 

Start on p. 31 to remove the back cover and inside you see this:

 

M.2 SSD slot circled in redM.2 SSD slot circled in red

 

You should open it first before buying to check for the presence of the slot and a mounting screw. You might need to get a screw to attach the M.2 SSD. You need one of these SSDs:

Can you please let me know the size (500 GB or 1 TB) of SSD which I can use along with the pre-installed 2 TB hard drive?
