No other manual can be found at this time, but the 250 G4 is using the same setup as yours, thus why the G4 manual is being linked. Thats why is looks confusing.
I am also being told there is no M.2 port on the board. To install an SSD, use a 2.5 inch Sata SSD in place of the HDD.
It will run just as fast as a Sata M.2, you just wont have 2 hard drives installed.
You can clone your current HDD to a new SSD, but I would avoid that mess and trouble and simply clean install with the Media Creation Tool and a USB drive.
Then you can update any drivers from your models download page. But most of those are out of date, so the Windows generic drivers will work just fine.
But you will need this one for the keyboard...

Looks like HP has linked the wrong manual to your model number.
I found another 15-ac100 series that does have an m.2 sata ssd slot.
The best thing to do is open the case and double check the board. In some cases, HP will have used 2 different motherboards.
I will ask HP to look into the missing manual. sorry
If you install the m.2 SSD, you will want to wipe the HDD as it will cause a conflict with two operating systems installed.
You can clone the HDD first, then test the cloned ssd before reconnecting the HDD. Or you can simply disconnect the cable and clean install windows 10 to the ssd, then wipe the HDD.

Please read my answer above.
That series has models with an M.2 sata installed, but I dont have the access to your maintenance manual at the moment for the instruction to take it apart.
I will post a link to it when I can get HP to answer me Monday.

It was an example of a similar model in the same series that shows it has an m.2 ssd installed. Thats all it was.
I also told you that when I get an answer from HP explaining the missing manual, I will let you know.
If you are in that big of a hurry, all you have to do is simply take the laptop apart and look to see if the motherboard has an M.2 port.
Until I get an answer from HP on the missing manual, I cannot do anymore.
