I'm told my laptop has an option to upgrade to an SSD??? How do I find an SSD that's compatible?

You can find guaranteed compatible SSD products for your notebook at the hyperlink below this line.

You can find those very same SSD products at Amazon.com and other online vendors,

 

Here is the Maintenance & Service guide for your notebook series. Yours is the UMA type

Before purchasing an M.2 SATA3 (TLC) SSD, take a look inside to ensure that the M.2 slot is present.

 

Notebook SATA3 SSD upgraded are guaranteed compatible. They are a simple matter of replacing the legacy HDD and performing an HP Cloud recovery.
