Hello
My HP Envy 15-as133cl has got 5 PCIe slots.
I want to upgrade a PCIe x4 ssd but as you can see in the above image, it says that this slot is in use. So, how can I use PCIe x4 ssd card in my laptop?
Also, can I know which hardware is using that slot? And can i insert PCIe x4 card in PCIe x1 slot?

The M.2 slot is empty. Here is the Manual:
Start on p. 28. With rear cover removed see this:
M.2 slot circled in red.
The slot is compatible with a 2280 form factor PCIe/NVME M.2 SSD. There are not 5 physical slots on the motherboard.
And there is only the one slot that can be used for an M.2 SSD.
Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Hi Huffer
Thank you for the reply. Can i use the following ssd into that slot?
https://www.amazon.in/dp/B07CJ3RVP3/ref=psdc_1375344031_t2_B01LXS4TYB
And also, why does the scan shows that it is being used?

Cause it is not that slot. Perhaps the video card. The scan does not show actual slots but all pcie conections. Just follow the Manual to put the M.2 in. Yes, the Samsung 970 Pro will work. You would save a bit of money buying a 970 Evo Plus. Almost the same performance for a bit less money.
