Hi! I am planning to buy a HP Omen 17-ck1020nr(i7-12700H, RTX 3070 Ti, 16 GB DDR5-4800, 512 GB NVMe SSD, QHD 165hz 17 in screen). However, I am not sure if the SSD is large enough for my needs. Therefore, I am planning to add another SSD(980 non-pro)later on(to the secondary ssd slot) However, I am concerned about the thermal pads. Does HP include a thermal pad and a bracket for the secondary SSD slot? If not, how do I install it without them? Also, is the Samsung 980 non-pro SSD compatible with the Omen? Thank you!

Sir, I ended up getting the Lenovo legion slim 5i with Rtx 4060 instead. However, I do believe that there in fact are 2 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe slots WITH included heatsinks. For some reason, I could not find a disassembly video for the ck1000 series, but I did watch 2: one for the ck0000 series(generation before 1020nr) and another for the ck2000 series. There were indeed 2 slots with copper heatsinks included in the laptops shown in BOTH videos.

Hi!
Things are EXACTLY the way AtaharM says they are. It has been known for quite some time here on the HP forum.
