HP Notebook - 15-da2001nk
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have a HP laptop 15-da2001nk. It comes with a 1TB Hard Disk.

I want to upgrade it by installing a new SSD drive while keeping the HDD for storage.

However i dont know if i should get a M.2 SATA SDD or a NVMe type, and which format 2260 or 2280.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi:

Your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports M.2 2280 NVMe SSD's.

You will have to remove Windows from the mechanical hard drive or the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first and not the SSD

Notebooks that come from the factory with dual drive configurations have no operating system on the 2.5" drive.
