Product: Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598U9AV)

Hi I wanted to upgrade my laptop SSD and its a PCIe 3 NVMe SSD. Currently a 512gig SSD but I wanted to upgrade to 1TB SSD. 

Here's my issue. The SSD dimensions are "Length 50.8 mm x Width 28.9 m x Height 1.0 mm,"  is this a custom made part?  One of the SSD I was looking to buy was "Samsung 980 1TB Up to 3,500 MB/s PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V8V1T0)" on Amazon and the dimensions are listed as "Product Dimensions : ‎8.01 x 2.21 x 0.24 cm" 

 

What are my options here? The part seems to be unavailable in my region (checked on hp part surfer) and the SSD dimensions on Amazon are a little off. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have not seen that size. Device Manager should show what it is. Please check and post back.

Hi Thanks for Writing back, could you guide me through the process of checking the dimensions of the ssd throught device manager.

 

From what i've gathered here is the current SSD --> "SAMSUNG MZVL2512HCJQ-00BH1" , I got the dimensions mentioned in the question from My laptop's Maintenance & Service Guide.

 

Motherboard  Manufacturer- HP

Product number for motherboard is 8A3D
