HP Elite Dragonfly 9VR84PA#ABJ
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Elite Dragonfly 9VR84PA#ABJ , Core i3-8145U, RAM 8GB /SSD 128GB(LITEON CV8-8E128-HP).

Since 128 GB is smaller i would need to upgrade the SSD, I am unable find manual or specs which would suggest which drive/capacity i can upgrade

Question is which Drive I can buy M.2 SSD SATA III, M.2 SSD(PCIe NVMe).

I did my experiment and bought (Silicon Power SSD 512GB 3D TLC NAND M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x 4 NVMe 1.3 P34A60 Series SP512GBP34A60M28) to my surprise it has a small chip on back side and when i am placing it on the socketit touches the board and the main SSD bends a little when i am trying to put a screw,

Appreciate if someone can guide me on which SSD/capacity  i can buy for this.  If this helps only specs i can get : https://jp.ext.hp.com/content/dam/jp-ext-hp-com/jp/ja/ec/lib/products/portables/specs/elite_dragonfl...

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC

The supported drive types can be found in chapter 1.

Your notebook's M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

I recommend you get the 512 GB HP NVMe SSD listed in chapter 3, page 20 of the service manual...

512 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC    HP part # L31879-001

If you google the part number you can find them for sale...

L31879-001, L18839-001, HP ELITEBOOK X360 1030 G3 Solid-state drive 512GB PCIe N | eBay

It appears to be a WD SN720 looking at the picture of the drive.

sn720 512 gb | eBay
