I am planning on getting a SSD upgrade. Does my laptop have 2 SSD NVME slots or one and also is WD SN5000 a good choice for my laptop

Yes, your laptop has support for 2 M.2 NVMe SSD's.
The slots are PCIe Gen 3.0 so the WD SN5000 will work fine but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from the Gen 3 slots.
See chapter 5, page 34 of the service manual.

Yes, I agree.
Now that Gen 4 SSD's are more mainstream than Gen 3 SSD's the prices on the Gen 4's have come down and make them a bargain, and you can transfer the drive to a newer PC in the future that has a Gen 4 slot.
The Gen 4 SSD will work with no problem.
