Solved!

SSD & HDD

Hi!

I just want to find out if it's possible to have both ssd and hdd at the same time? I have a 500gb hdd inside my laptop and would like to add a 120gb or 240gb ssd since I've been having problems with frame drops in Valorant. Also does adding an ssd help in lessening the frame drops?

Thanks and keep safe!

Duck Duck search came up with this for your manual.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04825510

Page 2 shows it supports both a SATA-3 (M.2 slot) and a SATA 2,5" drive. Sounds like you have the latter.

Can probably put any size M.2 2280 SSD (NGFF), SATA-3  you want to add, but the manual says 128GB or 256GB.

Not sure about lessening frame drops, as I'm not a gamer, but running your SSD as the C: drive should speed everything up.

Pretty sure it should. The 2280 part is 22mm wide, 80mm long so it should physically fit. Not 100% positive though.

Double check the other numbers too.

It needs a little screw to hold it down, so you need to check your computer and see if it is already on the motherboard or if you need to find one someplace.
