Hello,
I have a HP Victus 16 s0015nt (7Z586EA, the model with RTX 4060) and was wondering if there was a second SSD slot. Since I couldn't find any reliable info online I decided to ask here. Can I also change RAM?
Thanks in advance

I have upgraded my RAM to 32 gigs by myself and can confirm there was only one SSD slot. Hope this is of assistance to people unlike the uncertian responses these dimwits gave me. There is a picture I took myself of the said model with the new RAMs I installed.

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.
The notebook has two memory slots and can support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
The illustration in chapter 5, page 32 shows support for two NVMe SSD's, but that is not correct according to the service video.
Since the notebook has an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, it may have a second slot, but the models with the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840H processors definitely do not.
You'll have to open up the notebook and check to confirm.

Hi AlbertWesker1.
As mentioned above by Paul_Tikkanen EXPERT Level 22, we have found that certain HP gaming laptop series have one or two SSD slots depending on what kind of CPU is installed. The top-tier processors have a dual-storage config, while the cheaper ones DON'T. However, this has only been observed (so far) on the Intel based series......
The Victus 16-s0000 specifications sheet doesn't mention anything about dual storage, or does it make any distinction on that matter based on the processor. This has also been confirmed by certain reviews, both of the weaker and the more powerful CPU variants. For example, these pages from the Laptopmedia review of the Victus 16-s0000 with the 7640HS CPU (page 7, page 8) show that only one m.2 storage drive can be installed.....
Therefore, opening the laptop is not necessary -only ONE (1) slot for storage. As far as the RAM is concerned, Crucial lists various 32GB DDR5 modules on its page for your model as being fully compatible, not to mention that various sites (Amazon, etc) sell it already upgraded to this config (64GB RAM).

As-salamu alaykum AlbertWesker1.
Thank you for posting the exact same image I posted above 3 times, showing only one SSD.
Just for the sake of clarification these machines can be upgraded to twice the 32GB you used......

As-salamu alaykum TzortzisG.
How is Ramadan going for you? My first days of the fast is challenging as I try to balance uni work and my faith.
Your response was very ambigous as all tech forum responses are, hence why I uploaded my own pic to help others. How much RAM I choose to upgrade to is my business as I am a man of just action and don't like going overboard. Your meagre ego should also know I can upgrade to 64GB any time I want. Try to be more decisive next time.
Happy Ramadan and I wish you luck.
