HP 15-bs0xx
Ubuntu LTS

Hi everyone,
Does my laptop have a M.2 SSD slot for my upgrade?
If yes, would you recommend me to add a M.2 SSD or replace my HDD with SSD?

I want to upgrade my RAM to 16 GB, does it support Task-frequency = 3200 MHz or only 2400 MHz

Thank you in advance!

Hi:

If your notebook has an Intel core processor, it has a M.2 slot that supports SATA M.2 SSD's only, not NVMe.

If it has an Intel core processor you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory.

This 250 GB drive would provide the best performance for the price, in my opinion...

Below is the link to the service manual for the Intel models.

If your notebook is the AMD processor version, there is no M.2 slot, so you would have to replace the existing 2.5" hard drive with a 2.5" SSD, and the memory amount is dependent on what AMD processor your notebook has.

Thank you so much for the quick answer!
I am assuming you speak German, do you think this RAM (single rank) is compatible with my laptop?

or this (a bit fancier price):

You're very welcome.

The 4 GB chip should work fine.

I don't believe that a single 16 GB chip will work.

Note that the memory will only run at the fastest speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.
