HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0098ax

Hi

I have the HP Pavillion Gaming 15-EC0098AX laptop and want to add a 1TB SSD to it (in addition to the 1TB HDD)

My question is : Does this model support 1TB SSD capacity in its M.2 Slot?

If not then what is the maximum SSD capacity supported by this model?

Yes.

It does support up to 2TB in the PCIE, NVMe, M.2 slot.

Hi:

Chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual indicates that HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in the model series.

Thanks Paul for prompt response.

What confused me in the manual is the part that mentions capacities of HDD + SSD.

One of them is:

256 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC, solid-state drive + 1 TB, 7200 rpm hard drive

which I interpreted as max limit of 256GB on SSD if I install it along with the existing HDD.

I am not sure if :

1. that is the Out-of-the-box configuration of other models in the ECXXX series

OR

2. It is a limit on SSD if I added it to my HDD-Only model.

I got confused and hence wanted to get it clarified before I make the purchase.
