Hi guys, i last came here a few years ago but completely forgot about my post.
I've dug out my old faulty Envy TS14 laptop which is having HDD issues (not booting and failing Long DST). I'm hoping to switch out the HDD for an SSD in hopes it fixes this but I'm unsure of the product's compatability. I'm considering buying a 500gb SSD to try but I thought to check if it'll even work in the first place.

You can safely go up to 2TB as long as the SSD is formatted on NTFS or a UNIX style format like EXT4.
With that said, a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD will work.

Does the laptop have no limitations on the storage size of the SSDs? I saw some other posts with similar laptops but people saying they only go up to 250GB SSD.
I was considering buying a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD along with a Windows Repair Tool USB in hopes I can get the computer running again. Financially I'm in a tough spot so I'm trying to make sure I don't waste any money.
