Hello,
I am having some performance issues with new HP 450 G8 laptops.
The laptop by default comes with 256 ssd and since its not sufficient in terms of space we upgraded to 512 ssd with brand (NVME Lexar 500ssd).
First we upgraded from 10 to Win 11 and had several crash, slow performance and high disk utilization issues. Office 365 several times keeps not responding and at times needed to force re-start laptop. We stopped with Windows 11 and continued with Windows 10 pro 64.
Now on win 10 also we are having performance issues (laptop lags, takes time to process an operation, disk utilization remains 100% even if nothing is open or running on the laptop. We did the latest windows updates and still having same issues.
I wanted to know if the a.m hard disk model is compatible with the HP laptop and if yes, is there any solution to sort out the mentioned issues.
Thanks to revert back.

If you are having issues like you describe with Windows 10 and Windows 11, there is something that you are doing wrong.
The notebook is compatible with Windows 10 and 11. The operation is dependent on your installing the latest drivers after installing the operating system.
I know the unit was delivered with FreeDos1.2 so you are essentially starting from scratch.
What is the installed processor and how much memory is installed? Did you upgrade the memory?
Upgrading the memory by just adding memory that is not identical to what is already installed can cause non stable operation.
Here is the Product support portal (I suggest that you check out the troubleshooting section)

What is an a.m. disk model? I have never heard of it. My preference is to stick with major brands. Samsung, Western Digital, Intel, Crucial. They guarantee their product compatibility if you use their methods of selecting hard disks and SSD products.
I do agree with Huffer. It could be a bad SSD that you recieved.

Dear Erico,
Thanks for your reply.
You are right about brands.
The laptop came with 8gb memory and did not upgrade.
Well, the laptop came with 256 ssd and we upgraded to 512 ssd.
Just to tell you, i upgraded one laptop to win 11 and it was lagging and having poor performance issues.
I did a restore and reconfigured it on domain. But still its unstable.
Dont know if the cloning is wrongly done from 256 to 512 or may be the ssd have some issues.
Will try your suggestion and get back to you.
Thanks
Sorry, by a.m i was meaning above mentioned.
