I am using hp pavilion 15-ab029tx. I want to replace my HDD with SSD.
So, I want to know which SATA port version(SATA II or SATA III) is supported in my laptop's main board.
How can I check it?

Hi:
it should be SATA III.
You can use the free utility that I zipped up and attached below to confirm.
Run the utility. Close out of the summary report window.
On the left side of the program is a list of options to click on.
Click to expand the Drives section.
Click on the (S)ATA/Atapi Drives section.
Click on your model hard drive.
On the right side of the program window, the first line will show the drive speed and the drive controller speed.
You should see...Drive Controller: Serial ATA 6Gb/s @ 6Gb/s
That would be the SATA III speed.
