I am trying to determine if the Western Digital 512GB Gaming Gen4 M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe Internal Solid State Drive will work in my ProBook 650 G4 notebook Product number 3YD90UT

The parts list for your notebook's product number indicates that NVMe SSD's are supported.
The drive you want to buy should work as long as it does not have a heat sink attached.
There may not be enough clearance to accomodate a heat sink.
Your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.0 so a Gen 4.0 SSD will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.
This chart shows the maximum possible transfer speeds from the various generation PCIe versions.
