Hi, I want to add a SSD to my hp laptop ( model no. 14q-bu0xx ) which currently has a 1TB HDD. According to the manual it only supports SATA SSD, but the m 2 slot has only one notch which should support NVMe SSD. Could you please let me know, if I can go for a NVMe SSD ?
Regards,

Hi:
All of the M.2 slots in HP notebooks have one notch that looks like they would all support NVMe SSD's.
You have to go by what the service manual indicates. Very rarely are the manuals incorrect.
The manual for your notebook's model series indicates that only SATA M.2 SSD's are supported.
