You're very welcome.
I have two of those drives so I can personally vouch for them. I have a 1 TB model and a 250 GB model.
They seem to be a bit cheaper in the USA than in India. The 500 GB model costs 4,255 Rupees.
The Warranty in the USA on the WD Blue drives is for 5 years.
These are the read/write specs on the WD Blue drives...
Sequential read speeds up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 530MB/seconds.
The Crucial drive would be fine... 560/510 MB/s...just a little slower on the write speeds.
The Samsung drive has Sequential Read/Write speeds up to 550/520 MB/s
If you don't get a 5 year warranty on the WD Blue drive in India, then you may want to go for the Crucial or Samsung drive.
But here in the USA, as you can see, the WD Blue provides the best performance for the price and has a 5 year warranty.

Hi:
What storage capacity do you want to replace your existing drive with?
In my opinion this 2.5" drive provides the best performance for the price...this is the 500 GB model.

Hi Paul. Thank you for your reply.
2.5" SATA 500 GB is what I had in mind as well. My present HDD is 1 TB but I don't want to shell out that much.
So WD is your preference . Any particular reason ? 🙂
Crucial is nearly same cost with 5 year warranty.
Samsung is a bit more expensive also with 5 year warranty.
Any thoughts on these options ?
Thanks in advance.
Vivek.
