Product: Example: Pavilion gaming 15- ec0100AX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed a new m.2 nvme SSD and cloned my hdd to the new SSD successfully. After cloning I went to the bios to change the boot order, but I couldn't find the new SSD listed in the os boot manager. It only had my old hdd. So it only boots up from the hdd

But I can see and access the SSD from file explorer and device manager. Which means the laptop does detect the SSD right? 

Is there any fix to make the bios show up my new SSD so that I can make it as the bootable device? Like updating the bios?

Hi:

 

Temporarily disconnect the hard drive and see if the PC will boot from the SSD.

 

When you have a dual storage configuration from the factory, the 2.5" drive has no operating system on it.

 

When there is an operating system on the 2.5" drive, the notebook will always want to boot from that drive first, no matter what you do.

 

So, if the drive boots from the SSD with the hard drive disconnected, remove Windows from the 2.5" drive, connect it back up and the PC should boot from the SSD.
