Hello,

I would like to upgrade the SSD of my Elitebook and found that there are now the new SSD nvme pcie 4.0 that should be faster than the previous ones.

So far, are they compatible with my Elitebook? If so, is the machine able to use the full power of the new pcie 4.0?

Thank you in advance for your help.

@MarcoZ62

You can install PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD on your machine but machine will only run as PCIe Gen 3x4 speed.

Regards.

First of all, thank you for your help.

If I correctly understand, if I buy this SSD I would waste money as the Elitebook would not use the max speed:

If would be enough to buy this, a little bit slower but cheaper
