Greetings!

I remember replying on your post about RAM expansion and you're looking to upgrade SSD here.

Looks like you're upgrading your whole system.

I'll try my best to help you out with it.

I understand that you want to expand the storage in your notebook (PC) and you are looking for valid SSD that will be compatible for your specific device.

I want to suggest you to use this free scanner by Crucial, a well known brand that deals with computer hardware.

It'll scan your PC and give you all the expandable storage options that you can add and also suggest you compatible SSDs for you that you can buy and upgrade your note book with.

It shows both memory and storage upgrade options that is compatible with your device specifically.

Hope this helps.

Don't hesitate to write back if you have any confusion or need further assistance.

No 15-ayXXX notebooks support NVMe SSD's.

Not only that, the 15-ayXXX notebooks that only come with 2.5" drives from the factory do not even have M.2 slots.

Only the 15-ayXXX notebooks that came with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory have a M.2 slot.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

HP Notebook PC (Intel) * Models: 15-ay000 – 15-ay099 * Models: 15-ay100 – 15-ay199HP 250 G5 Notebook...

Your only option for a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
