I just bought an HP Omen Transcend 16 (u0700nz). I know it has only 1 SSD slot, and mine came with just a 512 GB SSD. So, I will upgrade to a fast 2tb SSD.
My question is, should I buy an SSD with a heatsink or not? I am asking a.because of thickness issues b.the motherboard might already have a heatsink.
I am considering a WD BLACK SN850X NVMe SSD 2TB without a heatsink. Is there a risk of overheating in this no-heatsink version?
Any other suggestions? Would it be better to go for a slightly slower SSD that does not require a heatsink to avoid overheating altogether?
Thank you,
Mecaniq

The WD BLACK SN850X NVMe 2TB M.2 SSD with heatsink is unlikely to be thin enough to fit in a laptop.
