It will support both M.2 SSD and M.2 PCIe Nvme SSD as the motherboard has a separate Nvme slot in the Bottom right corner.

I have installed Samsung 860 Evo 250GB M.2 ssd, a month ago and I have installed the windows on this ssd.

Booting time and performance has greatly increased.
